We're Building a House!

Thanks for stopping by our blog - the Key to Our House.  We want to share our excitement with friends and family as our house is being built in Petaluma!

Our First Home

We have been renters for a long time in the Bay Area.  Finally, we are building our first home in Petaluma, California. The lot is located in the new Southgate development in southeast Petaluma.  Our house will be built from the ground up.  We will have some yard and a patio and anticipate lots of summertime barbecues and al fresco dining under the stars.  The weather in Petaluma is great for outside dining.

Our house will be two stories with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths.  Living space downstairs, great open floor plan, and we should have a lot of sunlight coming through the windows.  The master bedroom upstairs has an en suite bathroom, and a walk-in closet! Check out the Hearthstone tour below.

They still have to lay the foundation and put the frames up, and pour the concrete. We will get to pick a lot of options (like the cabinets, flooring and faucets) and put our own personal touches on the house.  The estimated finish time is around late November.  Hopefully, we'll have the keys to our new home in time for Christmas and the New Year!
